User Interface Layer
Features	Intuitive Windows: Windows environment is ergonomically designed for maximum ease of use. Screen layouts are designed to match actual documents with top level shipment information continuously displayed. Windows tool bar design is used for navigating between modules.
	Multi-User: All information may be viewed by all users at any time, even if the shipment information is still being entered or modified. However, only one user at a time is enabled to enter or change information on a given single shipment.
	Tabs: Tabs are used along the side of longer documents to eliminate drill down or scrolling. The user always sees exactly where they are in the shipment.
	Pop Ups: Maximum use of quick pop up sub-screens is employed to select information from standard or tailored lists. This both speeds the data entry process and greatly reduces data entry errors.
	Tailored to Customer Requirements: Each CEDAS Gateway is tailored to meet individual customer requirements. This tailoring aligns CEDAS Gateway with unique customer process and information requirements.
	Search: Locates a shipment or Master file by any of several criteria and displays results as search criteria are typed.
